just spoke with someone from alameda police department and they stated that about 8:45 p.m. they received a call about fires being shot on this street. ted that when they arrived they discovered that one victim had a gunshot wound and that they were transported to a hospital where he died of his injuries. there is not a lot of descriptions for the victim. he was a young adult and that is about it for right now. because of the time of when that happens crime scene investigators were out but obviously they were waiting to get a break to come so that they can investigate more. this is why the schools will remain closed for today. you will see that there will be a

school. investigators expanded the crime scene several times because the actual location of the stabbing is unclear. police say that the boy may have been stabbed in one location, then ran to a another area where he died. investigators are looking into whether this is gang- related. this is san jose's fifth homicide of the year. >> a developing mills, police would detonate an explosive device the they found inside the home of a 45 year-old santa clara man who they arrested earlier this week for making a threat against a state senator. to get you more news faster we will go to mike pelton who is live in santa clara. >> we are getting a better idea of how this will work. the bomb squad will show up. from there they will start

to call the shots and make recommendations as to how this will play out. this all unfolded after a 45 year-old man was arrested tuesday for allegedly making threats against the senator. they searched his home and they found explosive devices that they detonated earlier in his front yard. that went back later on in the week and they found a usable bomb. they stated that they will that make this bomb inside of a trailer and that all of this is a huge shock to his neighbors. >> this is kind of scary to be happening in your neighborhood. >> from this last that nation, you can see some of the sandbags that were left.

custody after the shooting earlier today. it happened at his home in a gated complex in the country's capital. authorities say that steenkamp had been shot multiple times. pistorius made history lecture at a london olympics when he became the first double amputee runner to compete on the track at the games. >> this is new video just coming in off pistorius being transported from his home to the police station. he is expected to be in court right now. several south african media outlets say that he may have mistaken steenkamp for a burglar.

they are gathering here and school was supposed to start in 25 minutes but because of the shooting they have cancel the class as for today. we are still trying to get more details piece together. we do know that about a 40 5:00 p.m. mr. ross received a call of a shooting that took place here at hillside elementary school. they stated that when they arrived they noticed that one victim was shot and transported to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead. we do not have any details about his a description or his name we just know that he was a young adults. they continued to comb their area and they are waiting so they can come only through the campus. because of this at around

>> take a look at this. police and humnbopldt counting made quite the discovery this week. more than a hundred weapons were found hidden in a cave on a man's property. police say that they were searching the 55 a. property because owner was arrested earlier this month. the collection included a are f-15s, salt off shotguns and bayonets. police said that they cannot think of any other reason to possess these type weapons unless you are manning a small militia.

joins us live. >> there is still a big presence. we are a little more than 12 hours after the shooting took place. you can see crime scene investigators and also detectives from the alameda county sheriff's department still on the ground at hillside elementary school. because of that they have canceled school for the day. there is still a lot of questions swirling around. exactly what happened. around 845 last night the alameda county sheriff's department received a call of the shooting of a school grounds of hillside elementary school in the unincorporated san leandro. when they arrived they discovered one victim who had been shot. the victim was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. there is no of the description of it and he was a young adult male. no idea exactly what led up to the shooting. i can tell you at that point

took about 12 hours for them to clear the campus to make sure there is no evidence or a weapon left behind from this overnight shooting. what we know is around 845 out of it county sheriff's department received a call to hillside elementary school saying there had been a shooting. when they arrived they discovered one victim who had been shot. the victim was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. >> not a lot of details about the victim or why he was on campus at the time. he was a young adult male. not a lot of informations coming from the alameda county sheriff's department. because of the fact that our scowling a school for evidence and making sure there was not a weapon that was on campus at some point early this morning school administrators from san leandro unified school district and the school itself decided would be best to cancel altogether for the
